RECIPES:

There are various ways to use suya spice. It was created mainly for beef, however, it’s been modernized and is now used on ALL PROTEINS including beef, lamb, chicken, shrimp, lobster, fish, smoked turkey, and even vegetables, such as potatoes, asparagus, mushrooms and we don’t stop there… fruits (watermelon, pineapples) and nuts (cashews and almonds)! Yes, this is made with all organic ingredients, it’s gluten-free, keto-friendly, and vegan. Ingredients You’ll need:

Odunbaku Grille™ Authentic Suya Spice, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Avocado/Canola oil, Adobo All Purpose Seasoning, Unsalted/ Salted Butter, Paprika (optional), and Red Onion (this enhances the taste).

Equipment You’ll Need: Fire Grill (best taste), Grill pan, Air Fryer, Oven, or Frying Pan, Bowl, and Refrigerator (to marinate meat).

RECOMMENDED TYPE OF MEAT/ CUT

Beef: Top Sirloin or Flank

Chicken: Thigh

Fish: Salmon

Shrimp: Jumbo/ U13-15

Lamb: Chops

Turkey: Whole Smoked Turkey Thigh/ Legs/ Wings

PREP: Per serving (8 oz protein): First marinate proteins in garlic powder (1 teaspoon), onion powder (1 teaspoon), suya spice (1 teaspoon), 1/2 teaspoon Adobo All Purpose Seasoning (1/2 teaspoon) (**Note: Odunbaku Grille™ Authentic Suya Spice also contains salt), and paprika ( 1 teaspoon) optional. Add 1 tablespoon of canola or avocado oil. Mix and then let it marinate in the fridge for a minimum of 45 minutes. You can marinate overnight for the best results.

  • Melt 3 tablespoons of butter and add 2 tablespoons of suya powder to the butter to base the meat on each side whilst on the fire grill only.

TO GRILL: You can use a gas/coal grill, grill pan. Add a tad bit of oil/oil spray to coat the grill/ baking pan prior, and heat the pan/fire grill for about 2- 3 minutes. Keep the temperature between medium and high. Add meats to the fire grill/pan and cook to your liking (shrimp 8 – 10 min, beef 12 -14 min, and chicken 16- 18 min).

Note: You can add melted suya butter (for fire grill only) to base the meat on each side whilst grilling.

After the meat is cooked to your liking, turn the stove/pan/grill off and then add as much Odunbaku Grille™ Authentic Suya Spice as you would like. Then ADD SLICED, FRESH RED ONION FOR A BURST OF FLAVOR!

**NOTE: This is a smoked spice. Please apply Odunbaku Grille™ Authentic Suya Spice after the cooking device is off the fire or it will produce a lot of smoke.

AIR FRYER/OVEN:

Make sure to prep as listed above, for red meats set the air fryer to 380 degrees for 14 – 16 minutes depending on how well you would like your meats. Chicken: Set the air fryer to 380 degrees for a minimum of 18 minutes, and for crispy chicken wings: Set the air fryer to 380 degrees for 35 min. For Fish/ Shrimp: 350 degrees at 15 min.
